Top QB Prospect Julian Lewis Withdraws Commitment from USC
Julian Lewis, the second-ranked overall recruit in the 2025 class, has officially withdrawn his commitment to USC, as confirmed in a statement to Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports.
The five-star quarterback, ranked highly by ESPN, initially pledged to join the Trojans in August 2023. However, speculation about his potential change in plans has been ongoing, with reports from On3Sports' Hunter Shelton indicating interest from other programs, including Colorado and Indiana. Additionally, Lewis recently made a visit to the University of Georgia, further fueling discussions about his future.
Earlier this year, Lewis reclassified to become part of the 2025 recruiting class.
Following the news of Lewis' decommitment, USC secured a new quarterback recruit. The Trojans successfully flipped four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet from Texas A&M, as confirmed by his father to Steve Wiltfong of On3. Longstreet is ranked as the 47th overall prospect in the 2025 class and is recognized as the fourth-best pocket passer, according to ESPN.
