An investigation is underway regarding an altercation involving Rashee Rice, a Kansas City Chiefs receiver, reportedly striking a photographer at a Dallas club early Monday, as reported by WFAA. Authorities are currently interviewing witnesses regarding the incident.

Rice is already facing a potential multi-game from the due to his involvement in a multi-car collision. He turned himself in last month and was subsequently released on bond, facing eight charges including multiple counts of collision involving bodily injury, collision involving serious bodily injury, and aggravated assault.

The collision, in which Rice was driving, involved six cars and reached a top speed of 119 miles per hour, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by the Dallas Morning News.

These latest developments add to Rice's off-field challenges, potentially impacting his promising career with the Chiefs.

Additionally, Rice and SMU cornerback Theodore Knox are facing a $1 million lawsuit from two victims of the March 30 crash. Plaintiffs Irina Gromova and Edvard Petrovskiy cite severe injuries including brain trauma, facial lacerations, contusions, disfigurement, internal bleeding, and other injuries.

Anticipating Rice's potential absence, the Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy, a former Texas wide receiver, with the 28th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Worthy, known for his exceptional speed, has been making an impression during initial practices with Kansas City.
